Insta360 has just dropped a tantalizing video teasing a tiny new 4K camera, and it’s stirring up quite the buzz. Scheduled for a June 13 reveal, the teaser hints at a successor to the Insta360 Go 3, which currently tops out at 2.7K resolution.

The Insta360 Go 3 gained popularity for its versatility. It can be snugly housed in a GoPro-like case or worn on the body with a magnetic pendant, ideal for capturing POV footage. The camera charges on the go, much like Apple’s AirPods, by splitting the battery between the camera and its housing.

A 4K upgrade would certainly demand more processing power and a bigger battery, possibly leading to design changes. However, Insta360’s cryptic comment, “Tiny. Mighty. 4K.”, suggests that any size increase might be minimal.

The teaser video opens with what appears to be a forlorn shot from the bottom of a bin. After a couple of viewings, it becomes clear it’s actually a coffee percolator. Could this be hinting at the camera’s resilience, perhaps even its ability to withstand a coffee spill?

There’s speculation about whether the new camera will be a part of the ‘Go’ series or something entirely new. The diverse nature of Insta360’s product line makes it hard to pin down, but the excitement around a potential 4K mini-camera is undeniable.

June 13 is the date to watch for more details. The tech community is buzzing with anticipation about what this new offering from Insta360 could feature and how it could potentially shake up the market for compact 4K cameras.

Whether it’s an update to the Go series or a new product line, Insta360’s upcoming reveal has everyone on the edge of their seats. Stay tuned for June 13, when all will be unveiled.
